Chelly may be a new rider, but her love for motorcycles is anything but new.
Her fascination with street bikes started at just 14 years old while hanging around the car and bike scene. But it would be another 23 years before she finally found herself on two wheels.
“The story is too long to tell,” she says of what finally led her to riding. “Let’s just say the universe was saying: you’ve waited 23 years, now you shall have your teenage dream fulfilled!”
That dream is Venom, her 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. She’s kept the modifications relatively simple so far, adding red accents including heel guards, bar ends and short levers, along with an LV slip-on.
For Chelly, though, finally becoming a rider means much more than owning the bike she dreamed about as a teenager.
“Riding is freedom — participating in a culture of people that realized a throttle gives peace to your soul.”
Twenty-three years after the dream began, Chelly is finally riding it.
