Aaron Rutledge has been on two wheels for nearly as long as he can remember.
He started riding dirt bikes at five years old after watching his older cousins ride and eventually raced motocross before making the move to street bikes at 18. But in 2022, a serious motorcycle accident nearly took his life and left him with permanent injuries — and a long road back to riding.
Four years later, Aaron returned to the street on the bike he had always wanted: a 2012 Suzuki Hayabusa.
His second-gen Busa is lowered, stretched eight inches and wrapped in forged carbon fiber, with smoked LED lighting, HeliBars, risers, engine work, an air box mod, DNA filter, velocity stacks and a dyno tune. And he may not be finished — a turbo kit and 300 rear tire are already being considered.
For Aaron, though, riding has never been just about the bike.
“Riding is my therapy. That’s the only time my mind has peace from the stress of day-to-day life.”
Next up, he plans to take the Hayabusa to the drag strip and see exactly what she can do in the quarter mile.
