Some riders never really lose the connection.
After more than 30 years away from motorcycles, one mom decided it was time to ride again — this time on a Kawasaki ZX10R.
Before even taking off, she instinctively reached for the gear shifter on the right side near the rear brake, forgetting that motorcycles shift from the left.
That moment alone said everything.
What started as a quick refresher quickly turned into a trip back to the basics, with practice moving to the grass. But beneath the confusion and laughter was something bigger: the connection riders carry with them no matter how much time has passed.
The mom once rode while pregnant with the very person now teaching her how to ride again.
