What started as a ride to EM Meet quickly turned into a test of commitment when Florida weather decided to make an appearance.
On Saturday, August 29, riders headed to OCC Road House in Clearwater for EM Meet for an evening that proved a little rain—or a lot of it—wasn’t enough to shut things down.
Miss Torres Leads Her First All-Girls Group Ride
Before the main event, Miss Torres kicked off her first all-girls group ride to EM Meet, bringing women riders together for the trip to OCC Road House.
Then came the rain.
As conditions worsened, the group took shelter at Wawa and waited out the storm together. What could have easily ended the ride became part of the experience. Despite the downpour, the women stuck together, waited for conditions to improve and continued on to EM Meet.
It wasn’t the smooth, picture-perfect group ride anyone could have planned—but sometimes those are the rides you remember most.
EM Meet at OCC Road House
By the time riders made it to OCC Road House, the weather had already made its mark, but the meet continued.
Bikes filled the venue as riders, creators and familiar faces from around the motorcycle scene came together, including Fast Lane D.
Between the motorcycles, conversations and people continuing to arrive despite the weather, EM Meet showed what happens when the community decides the night isn’t over just because the forecast says otherwise.
For the women who started the evening riding together, it also marked a milestone: Miss Torres’ first all-girls group ride was officially in the books—rain and all.
Capturing the Ride — Rain or Shine
The riders weren’t the only ones adapting to the weather. Photographers and media covering the ride continued capturing the day as conditions changed, documenting everything from the pre-meet and unexpected stop at Wawa to the moments that followed the storm.
